Training
Construction contract training, by a practitioner who actually runs the contracts.
In-house and open-enrolment training on FIDIC 2017, NEC4, DIAC arbitration, quantum, EoT and the commercial mechanics of infrastructure projects. Built for contractor commercial teams, consultancy engineers and in-house counsel. Practitioner-led, CPD-certified, and built around the templates and case material already on this site.
What you get that you don’t get elsewhere
Three things that separate this from a standard contracts course.
Run the projects, not just read the books
Sessions are built around how the work is really done: how a 20.1 notice is drafted under time-bar pressure, what a CE quotation needs to survive an Engineer’s determination, how a DAAB submission is structured. Worked examples, grounded in practice.
Cross-jurisdictional, GCC-grounded
FIDIC and NEC taught with the UAE / GCC Particular Conditions reality on the table. UK case law where it lands, local mandatory-law overlay where it bites. Useful both in Dubai and London.
Every attendee leaves with the toolkit
The notice templates, the CE quotation workbook, the Monthly CVR, the Notice Register, the EoT estimator. The same artefacts on this site, walked through, with worked examples. CPD certificates included.
Formats
Five ways to take the training.
Most clients book in-house bespoke. Open enrolment, live online and webinars are scheduled on rolling cadences. Self-paced video is launching late 2026.
In-house, bespoke
Craig comes to your offices and runs the session tailored to your live projects, your contract suite, and your team's seniority. Most common booking.
Half-day, full-day, or multi-day. Up to 20 attendees. Sessions can be project-specific (work through your own live notices, CEs, programme positions) or general. Materials issued in advance; recordings on request.
Open enrolment
Mixed-company sessions in Dubai or London on scheduled dates. Per-seat pricing, smaller cohorts, peer learning across organisations.
Two to four scheduled cohorts per year per flagship course. Capped at 12 attendees so questions can run as deep as the room needs. Includes lunch and full materials pack.
Live online cohort
Same content as in-house, delivered via Teams or Zoom over two or three shorter sessions. For distributed teams or international cohorts.
Typically 3-4 hour sessions across two or three days. Maximum 15 attendees so the format stays interactive. Recordings provided to all attendees afterwards.
Webinar
Single 60-90 minute session on a focused topic. Free or paid. Open to the wider market, useful as a sampler or for distributed teams.
Quarterly free webinars on current commercial themes. Paid topical webinars for deeper material. Recordings available to attendees and on request to the insights subscriber list.
Self-paced video course
On-demand video modules with workbook and templates. Best for individual learners and onboarding cohorts. Launching late 2026.
Currently in build. The flagship FIDIC and NEC courses will launch on a hosted platform with module videos, workbooks, the template pack, and a closing assessment leading to a CPD certificate.
Flagship courses
Start here.
Three courses that cover the contracts most projects actually run on, and the single hands-on workshop that gives the biggest day-one lift to junior commercial teams.
FIDIC 2017: A Commercial Practitioner's Guide
The Red, Yellow, Silver and Emerald Books, taught by a commercial practitioner who has run the contracts and the claims, not just read the books.
NEC4 in Practice for Contractor Commercial Teams
The Early Warning, compensation event and programme machinery, built around what actually wins money on NEC jobs.
Notice Writing Workshop
Half a day. Every attendee drafts a working notice. The single highest-ROI training on the menu.
Specialist courses
Deeper or more targeted.
Sessions for teams who already know the basics, or for specific commercial decisions (tender review, dispute preparation, engineer upskilling).
DIAC 2022 Rules in Practice
The procedural and commercial implications of the 2022 Rules, for commercial leads, not just arbitrators.
See the course →Particular Conditions: Pricing the Deviations
Half a day on what to do when the Employer hands you a heavily amended FIDIC or NEC contract, before you sign.
See the course →Quantum and EoT Methodologies
The methods, the evidence, and the standards tribunals actually accept on time and money.
See the course →Commercial Fundamentals for Engineers
For engineers and project managers who are commercially aware but have never been taught the underlying mechanics.

Counts towards your CPD hours.
Every attendee receives a CPD certificate stating attendance and learning hours. Sessions are designed to qualify under the structured CPD requirements of RICS, CIArb, ICE and most contractor in-house schemes. We can also map content to your internal competency framework on request.
